Hybrid Energy Generation SystemThe process of tying up the outputs of any two sources of energy, such as wind, solar and piezo etc, to get output is called a hybrid power system. But in this method, saying that there is no tying up of outputs but the three sources of energy are tied up at the point of production itself.
In our project we are using photo voltaic cell (PV cell) i.e solar cell , DC generator and piezo. The solar cell will convert solar energy into DC supply and DC generator will convert wind energy into DC supply. We will design one system which will check the DAY & NIGHT condition. For that LDR is used.
LDR will check the DAY or NIGHT and accordingly the energy source is selected. If there is DAY then solar energy is selected and if there is NIGHT then wind energy is selected.
The output of the solar energy or wind energy or piezo is given to the battery for charging which is used to turn on the light source. In our project we are using LED as output light source. As well as Inverter as output source.
Smart Energy MeterEnergy meter is a measuring instrument to calculate the amound of electric energy consumed by an electrically powered device. The energy metering which measure line voltage, current, and calculating active power can be used to increase usage efficiency of electricity. This project presets a system which provide real time energy meter reading using ACS712 as current sensor, ,arduino and an IoT server. The energy meter can display consumed energy in kWh and electricity bills to be paid. system's user interface is in Android. A notification for the amount of electricity energy usage or electricity cost can be generated for user to be displayed.
IoT Based Notice BoardIoT Based Notice Board is aimed at the Colleges, Universities Shops and Malls for advertisement purpose for displaying day-to-day information
continuously or at regular intervals during the working hours. Being IoT based system, it offers
flexibility to display flash news or announcements faster than the programmable system. The LED
display system mainly consists of a receiver and a display board which can be programmed from an
Arduino. It receives the message through serial port and display the desired information after
necessary code conversion. It can serve as an electronic notice board and display the important
notices without any delay thus avoiding the latency. The LED display is easy to expand and it
allows the user to add more displays at any time and at any location depending on the requirement
Home Automation Using BluetoothThe main objective of this project is to develop a home automation system using an Arduino board with Bluetooth being remotely controlled by Android smart phone. As technology is advancing so houses are also getting smarter. Modern houses are gradually shifting from conventional switches to centralized control system, involving remote controlled switches. Presently, conventional wall switches located in different parts of the house makes it difficult for the user to go near them to operate. Even more it becomes more difficult for the elderly or physically handicapped people to do so. Remote controlled home automation system provides a most modern solution with smart phones. In order to achieve this, a Bluetooth module is interfaced to the Arduino board at the receiver end while on the transmitter end, a GUI application on the cell phone sends ON/OFF commands to the receiver where loads are connected. By touching the specified location on the GUI, the loads can be turned ON/OFF remotely through this technology. The loads are operated by Arduino board through Relay
Dual Axis Solar Tracking System with Weather SensorOf all the renewable energies, solar energy is the only energy gained its popularity and importance quickly. Through the solar tracking system, we can produce an abundant amount of energy which makes the solar panel’s workability much more efficient. Solar power is the fastest growing means of renewable energy. The project is designed and implemented using simple dual axis solar tracker system. In order to maximize energy generation from sun, it is necessary to introduce solar tracking systems into solar power systems. A dual-axis tracker can increase energy by tracking sun rays from switching solar panel in various directions. This solar panel can rotate in all directions. This dual axis solar tracker project can also be used to sense weather, and it will be displayed on LCD. This system is powered by Arduino, consists of servo motor, DC motor, rain drop sensor, temperature and humidity sensor and LCD.The variation in the solar energy occur daily due to variation in day night cycle and also because of seasonal variations throughout the year. we propose dual axis solar tracking system by which it is possible to catch maximum amount of solar energy by using Arduino as main processing unit.
